Big Andy Copper-Zinc — East Side of Bute Inlet, Vancouver Mining Division
One mineral-claim application over the Big Andy prospect. An open sulphide lens. A continuous chip ran 3.38% copper across 1.48 m. No public drill hole.
1. What you are Buying
Title: 1137011 Mineral Claim, 183.87 ha (9 cells), In Application as of 2026-10-15
Mapsheet 092K/15E. Vancouver Mining Division. BCGS 092K076.
The 10 August 2026 application report lists no overlapping mineral tenure, no placer tenure, no coal tenure, and no crown grant. No park, Agricultural Land Reserve, or community watershed. Two reserve layers are on the report: uranium-thorium, and post-1988 crown grants. The application was accepted with those lines on it.
Confirm on Mineral Titles Online whether 1137011 has since been issued, and the good-to date if it has. No work can start until the application is approved.
2. Location and Access
East side of Bute Inlet, 6.4 km east-southeast of Purcell Point. About 105 km north-northeast of Campbell River and about 220 km northwest of Vancouver.
MINFILE 092K 122 pin: 50°47'24" N, 124°49'45" W. UTM Zone 10, NAD83: 371,074 E / 5,628,067 N. Elevation about 1,219 m.
There is no road to the showing. Access is by helicopter or float plane from Campbell River. The ridge is steep. Ice and peaks above 2,000 m sit a few cells east. Logging roads in the Teaquahan and Southgate valleys do not replace a helicopter for this ground.
3. Geology and Record
Status is Prospect. One known sulphide lens in Gambier Group phyllite, argillite, and minor chert, at a change from intermediate volcanic rock into phyllite. The lens sits on a sheared, silicified bedding plane. Strike about 120°. Dip 70° to 85° northeast. Pyrite, chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite, sphalerite, and galena in quartz, clay, carbonate, and chlorite. Wallrock silicification and pyrite extend up to about 5 m.
Five trenches in 1990 traced it about 100 m. The southeast end goes under a debris slide. To the northwest the sulphide pinches, and the shear continues about 25 m under overburden. In Trench 90-5 the sulphide is a row of pods, not one sheet. Pods are about 0.25 to 0.70 m wide and about 1 to 4.5 m long.
There is no recorded production and no public diamond drill hole. Galleon recommended drilling in 1991. No later assessment report shows that hole.
The numbers to use are from AR 22178, not from the MINFILE gold line. MINFILE prints 1.51 g/t gold for the headline interval. In the report, 1.51 oz/ton is the silver. The gold is 0.55 g/t.
1991, AR 22178, Trench 90-5 extended, continuous chips, true width:
3.38% copper, 0.89% zinc, 51.77 g/t silver, 0.55 g/t gold over 1.48 m.
The same trench, wider envelope: 1.98% copper, 0.54% zinc, 0.96 oz/ton silver, 0.014 oz/ton gold over 4.58 m.
Single chips in that trench reached 5.35% copper over 0.50 m, with 2.70 oz/ton silver and 0.052 oz/ton gold. Nine sulphide samples from the trench averaged 3.64% copper.
1990, AR 21236, Trench 90-1, the older opening: 1.80% copper, 0.30% zinc, 0.58 g/t gold over 1.1 m true width. One 0.20 m sample inside it ran 7.40% copper and 1.83 g/t gold.
Soils on the 1991 grid are anomalous above, below, and along strike of the lens. A magnetic contact lines up with the known sulphide and continues east and west of the trenches. The known pods themselves have no VLF response. One other VLF conductor, V5, sits with a magnetic high and a copper-in-soil trend and was left unexplained.
4. Holder's ground check
The seller centred this application on the published pin. The seller has not GPS'd Trenches 90-1 through 90-5 onto the cell outline, and has not filed a new sample.
5. What is not included
Surface rights are not included.
Galleon's old ground was about 413 units in two blocks. This application is 183.87 ha. The 7 km strike talk, the Boat Zone, the Southgate staking, and the silt anomalies at Purcell Point are from that old property. They are not this application unless a sample site is later shown inside the cells.
The Rio Tinto and Swiss Aluminum copper target northeast of Bishop Creek is a different showing. It is not this application.
6. Sale Terms
Asking price: $110,000 CAD, 100%. Outright sale. No royalty.

If the application has not been approved, the transfer waits until the claim is issued. Buyer pays government fees. All sales are final once a transfer starts.
7. Due Diligence
Read the title on Mineral Titles Online: status, good-to date once issued, and the cell outline against the pin. Replot the trenches before you treat the 1.48 m interval as on title. A Notice of Work is required before trenching or drilling.
The application report lists consultative areas for Homalco (Xwemalhkwu), Tla'amin, Wei Wai Kum, We Wai Kai, Tlowitsis, Mamalilikulla, K'omoks, Da'naxda'xw/Awaetlala, and the Nanwakolas Council. No Indian Reserve and no treaty land are on the report.
