BC Mineral Claims for Sale: Hard Rock and Placer

These are the British Columbia mineral claims and placer claims currently for sale through Prospect Canada. Most are hard-rock mineral claims: gold, silver, copper, copper-zinc, iron, nephrite jade and dimension stone, across the Vancouver, Victoria, Alberni, New Westminster, Cariboo, Omineca, Golden, Revelstoke, Slocan, Greenwood, Kamloops and Fort Steele mining divisions. Each claim or package is sold on its own. Asking prices run from $10,000 for one issued claim over the Bowena workings on southeast Bowen Island to $250,000 CAD.

Every listing gives the title numbers, number of cells, hectares, whether each title is issued or still an application, the good-to date once issued, the mining division, access and the asking price. Most also estimate the yearly cost to keep the title in good standing. The geology and history come from BC MINFILE, assessment reports and Mineral Titles Online title reports, with the report numbers given so you can check them. Where old adits, trenches or drill holes have not been located on the current cells, the listing says so. Historical work is not a current resource.

Buying a BC claim works the same way for every listing. You need a valid BC Free Miner Certificate before a title can be transferred to you. Look up the title number on Mineral Titles Online (MTO), the province's online claims system, and confirm its status, good-to date and cell outline. When terms are agreed, the transfer is registered in MTO. A title still in application transfers once it is issued. Mechanical work on any claim needs permits under the Mines Act and First Nations consultation.

A BC mineral claim gives the holder the right to explore for and develop the minerals within its cells, under the Mineral Tenure Act. Mineral rights only. Surface rights are not included.

Warning — This property is offered for mining purposes only and ownership of the title to it does not include ownership of the surface rights or the right to use the surface for residential or recreational purposes.

To ask about a claim, email prospectcanada.com@gmail.com and quote the title number. Ontario mining claims are listed on the Ontario claims page.
