Geological Features
The claims cover part of the Bugaboo iron deposit (MINFILE 092C 022).
Deposit Type and Host Rocks
The deposit type is iron skarn (Fe skarn, K03) of massive magnetite, Wrangell terrane, Insular Belt (MINFILE 092C 022).
The magnetite forms large, irregular massive bodies entirely enclosed in pyroxene skarn (MINFILE 092C 022).
The skarn developed along the contact between Westcoast Complex diorite and a limestone roof pendant (MINFILE 092C 022).
Pyrite and pyrrhotite are the only sulphides with the magnetite (MINFILE 092C 022; AR 30640; AR 32175).
Magnetite Zones
Four magnetite zones are recognised on the deposit: Conqueror, Daniel, Deep and Mishael (MINFILE 092C 022).
Conqueror strikes northwest and at surface splits into East and West pipe-like bodies (MINFILE 092C 022; AR 32175).
Daniel lies about 250 m northwest of Conqueror and is shaped like a flattened cylinder plunging about 20 degrees north (MINFILE 092C 022).
