Hallam Township Kelly Prospect Copper Claim – A 2-cell copper prospect with 1960s drilling in Hallam Township, Sudbury–Espanola area, Ontario.
This is a 2-cell Ontario mining claim over the Kelly (Hallam) copper prospect. Seven holes drilled in 1967–68 cut narrow copper veins 1–3 ft wide (selected results 2.5–5.8% Cu). The 1968 report concluded that the zone was delimited by the drilling and too small to support a mining operation. There is no resource estimate. Part of the claim overlies privately owned surface, and surface rights are not included.
Quick facts:
Location: Hallam Township, Sudbury–Espanola corridor, Ontario

Claim type and count: 1 mining claim (2 cells)
Hectares: 44.8 ha
Claim number: 1044835 (Active)
Due date: 2028-04-28 (MLAS)
Price: $48,000 CAD (offers to $42,000 for a fast close); $2,000 deposit - Estimated yearly cost to keep: Year 1 is free. The first $400-per-cell assessment work has to be filed by the claim’s due date (2028-04-28), and the same amount is due every year after that: 2 cells × $400 = $800.00 per year (verify with MLAS; Ontario mostly expects real exploration work, and paying cash instead of work is only allowed in limited cases).

Historical Work (historical, not NI 43-101, not current)
1967–68 drilling (Consolidated Bellekeno Mines Ltd.): 7 diamond drill holes totalling 1,963 ft tested a quartz breccia zone with chalcopyrite.
Selected historical copper results (narrow samples, 1–3 ft):
Hole 1: 3.30% Cu over 3 ft and 2.86% Cu over the next 3 ft (quartz breccia)
Hole 2: 2.46% Cu over 3 ft in a vein
Hole 3: 5.79% Cu over 2 ft, 3.63% Cu over 1 ft and 5.58% Cu over 2 ft in narrow quartz-calcite veins (gold not assayed). Hole 4: 0.02% Cu.
over 2 ftMineralization: narrow quartz breccia and quartz-calcite veins with chalcopyrite and pyrrhotite. The 1968 report estimated a zone about 100 ft long, 3 ft wide and 120 ft deep averaging over 3% Cu, and stated that it is too small to support a mining operation. No gold values of importance were returned, and no nickel assays are recorded.
Geophysics: a 1966 self-potential survey (Keevil Mining Group) recorded an anomaly over the showing that did not extend beyond the trenched area; no further work was recommended.
Work history: no later drilling or resource work appears in the assessment files reviewed (latest is 1968).
